Dawn was born and still lives in Essex although she also travels to Manchester almost weekly.  She has run a Theatre School in Essex for 32 years, teaches Ballet , Tap and Jazz Dance and is a qualified Stage Manager.  

Dawn trained as a Counsellor after becoming involved with a charity working to support Survivors, parents and siblings of children who had been sexually abused.  She is actively involved in trying to  “break the silence” of sexual abuse – raising awareness and trying to encourage provision of “safe spaces” for young people to be able to disclose early – and not have to carry the burden of abuse into adulthood.
