" It is good to know you are not alone. Sometimes I used to think I was the only one who had been to hell and back many many times. Thank you for listening. " ~ A female survivor

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is one of the most direct and convenient ways of donating regularly to NAPAC. Providing your employer offers a Payroll Giving scheme, you can give a regular amount straight from your monthly or weekly income. If you are in the UK, because the pledged amount is deducted before PAYE tax, the donation is tax-free for you and the tax you would have paid goes to the charity instead.

What this means is if you pledge to give £10 a month, and pay tax at 22%, what it actually costs you is £7.80. This benefit is even greater if you pay tax at 40%.

How to set up Payroll Giving

Your employer should have payroll giving set up as an option for employees from your payroll department. If they don't have this set up already, it should be really easy for them to set up. They will need to get in touch with a payroll giving organisation to set it up properly.

You will need to let them know how much you want to donate, with what frequency (e.g. monthly, weekly), your full name, address, postcode and payroll number. It is quite likely that they have a form they may wish you to fill in. Most importantly, you will need to let them know the name of the charity you wish to donate to (NAPAC) and the charity number (1069802).
