NAPAC in the media 06/02/2007
An intimate interview with Peter Saunders published in the national newspaper, The Independent. Read a copy of the article here.
On Tuesday 15th May 2007, NAPAC will be mentioned on the Trisha Goddard Show - Channel 5, 10:30am. NAPAC CEO, Peter Saunders, and the Chair of Trustees, Jonathan Bird, will be in the audience.
Peter Saunders was on LBC Radio at 6:30am this morning. The topic of discussion was regarding crimes involving sex with children and whether or not a more lenient sentence should be given when a child under the age of 13 gives consent. Peter is of the strong opinion that the introduction of such a law would be nothing short of nonsense for a child can never give consent and sex should never be offered to children in the first place.
NAPAC was mentioned on the Jeremy Kyle Show several times on 1st May. We apologise to the many callers who were unable to get through on the day as we were inundated with calls. Please keep trying.
Peter Saunders writes in CommunityCare.co.uk about the challenges of fundraising facing voluntary organisations.
Manchester Children's home abuse group secures more than £2 million compensation for victims.
Commenting on the case Peter Garsden, Managing Partner of Abney Garsden McDonald said "We are very proud to have given the survivors of abuse an opportunity to come forward and tell their story, even though the compensation the courts are awarding is pitiful when compared with abuse, which produces life long damage."
For more information on the case please read their press release.
On Tuesday 13th February Simon Hughes MP visited NAPAC's support line offices. He asked lots of interesting questions and made some useful comments. He also asked if he could inform his parliamentary colleagues about NAPAC.
On Tuesday 13th February we were mentioned on the Trisha Goddard Show.
