Continuing Your Journey

We know that healing from any type of childhood abuse will always be an ongoing journey. That's why many survivors never claim to be 100% healed from all of the pain they've been through. Even if we don't seem to reach the end of the healing process, there are times on the journey when we can look back and see just how far we've come!

Recovering from childhood abuse is an ongoing process, one which cannot be rushed through, as processing new and positive information may take some time.   If we rush through the process situations may occur which could trigger to the abuse we have suffered, possibly making us feel as helpless as we did when the abuse first occurred.

It's our hope that this journey will help you to be able to have a new awareness of your life from the perspective of the strong survivor that you are. We are no longer victims.

We are using this part of the website to look at many areas of our everyday lives, and to explore how it may be possible for us to manage some of the affects of the abuse. We are aware that there are no easy cures for the wrongs which you may have experienced, and for what you have been through. But we hope that these suggestions may be able to assist you on your journey of recovery and reclaiming your life - for you to live it!
