Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (RASA) provides the following support services:

  • Provides services for males and females
  • Information service
  • Support service
  • Telephone counselling
  • Face to face counselling

Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (RASA) provides the above services to people who suffered any of the following types of abuse in childhood:

  • Domestic abuse
  • Emotional abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Rape
  • Ritual abuse

Service Description

RASA is a service run by women for women. RASA provides support & counselling for women and girls who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. RASA also offers support and information to female friends and relatives of survivors. The service that we provide is free and confidential. RASA strives to work in an anti-oppressive way. RASA actively opposes the discrimination that women face in all forms.
RASA will also work with male survivors by arrangement.

Opening times

Phoneline is staffed Mon 7-9pm, Wed 2-5pm, Thurs 7-9pm, Sun 3-5pm. At all other times messages can be left on a confidential answer phone and calls will be returned within a few hours. RASA can offer an appointment at a time and place to suit the survivor in the majority of cases.
